ASSEMBLEIA LEGISLATIVA DO RIO DE JANEIRO

This is a picture of Rio de Janeiro Legislature. It's the place where I work. The name of this building is PALACIO TIRADENTES, where is installed the Parliament.
In the past, in the same place of Palacio Tiradentes there was a public prision, called old prision which was built in 1826. A national martyr (a person who died defending the country)called Tiradentes was in this prision before he die.
The old prision was demolished and the palace was built, and received the name of the martyr: Tiradentes.
Since 1926 this is the place where politicians have been working to make laws for the population of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
I have been working there since 1985. I'm a reviser. I correct the speech of the politicians. Now I have a license to be out of work for two years. And as you know I'm using this time here, in Calgary.
I like my job very much.

Hi Sarh.
Nice place!!. Now i know why you said in the grammar class that you wish to live in a palace.
You had a good job in Brazil, I hope you find one like the other one, i Know that is not easy to correct english speeches, you should study a lot of english. but I can see that your english has been improving, and you speack pretty good.
Good luck!!
